(Fresno, California) – Today in Fresno, a courageous survivor and attorneys from Jeff Anderson & Associates will: Reveal and discuss a child sexual abuse lawsuit filed against the Diocese of Fresno and St. Philip the Apostle in Bakersfield under California’s new Child Victims Act (AB 218). The Plaintiff was sexually abused by Fr. Anthony Moreno in approximately 1979-80 at St. Philip the Apostle. Moreno is being identified as a perpetrator publicly for the first time in the lawsuit.

(Salinas, California) – Wednesday in Salinas, attorneys from Jeff Anderson & Associates will: Reveal and discuss the first child sexual assault lawsuit brought against the Diocese of Monterey, Palma High School in Salinas, and Damien Memorial School in Honolulu, Hawaii, under California’s new Child Victims Act (AB 218). The Plaintiff in the lawsuit was sexually assaulted by Fr. Gerald Funcheon in approximately 1984-1985 at Palma School, known to have regularly harbored several sexually abusive clergy.

Farrington, S.J., who worked the school in the 1960s and 1970s.

The lawsuits are being brought under the new California Child Victims Act (AB 218).
