Names and Histories of Over 100 Catholic Clerics Accused of Child Sexual Abuse in Colorado to be Released Wednesday

The Anderson Report: Sexual Abuse in the Archdiocese and Dioceses in Colorado Includes Perpetrator Biographies and Photos

Clergy Abuse Survivors to Speak Publicly

(Denver, CO) – Wednesday in Denver, clergy abuse survivors and the law firm of Jeff Anderson & Associates will:

  • Release The Anderson Report on Child Sexual Abuse in the Archdiocese and Dioceses in Colorado containing the identities, histories, photographs and information on 102 clerics accused of child sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of Denver, the Diocese of Pueblo and the Diocese of Colorado Springs;
  • Demand full disclosure by Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila of the Archdiocese of Denver, Bishop Stephen J. Berg of the Diocese of Pueblo, Bishop Michael J. Sheridan of the Diocese of Colorado Springs, and the religious orders, of the identities, histories, and current whereabouts of all clergy accused of child sexual abuse who worked in Colorado;
  • Discuss a Special Master’s Report recently released by Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser detailing child sexual abuse by Catholic clergy in Colorado since 1950. The report provides a disturbing look at how the Archdiocese and Dioceses in Colorado, and their archbishops and bishops, protected themselves and their priests instead of children;
  • Discuss the need for Colorado lawmakers to pass Child Victims Act legislation and open a window allowing survivors of child sexual abuse to take legal action against their perpetrators and the institutions that protected the perpetrators, regardless of when the abuse occurred.
