Disgraced NY Cardinal Again Named as a Child Predator in Lawsuit As Well
Survivors and Attorneys Demand Public Disclosure of Names of All Accused and Immediate Removal from Ministry BEFORE Close of NY Window Law
(St. Paul, MN) – Today, in a live, moderated virtual press conference, attorney Jeff Anderson will:
- Disclose new sex abuse allegations against previously unknown predator and Opus Dei member Fr. Michael Barrett, who is still in ministry at a parish in the Archdiocese of New York,
- Announce a new child sex abuse lawsuit against disgraced New York Cardinal Theodore McCarrick.
- Demand that New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan release now—BEFORE the close of the New York Child Victims Act—the full list of clerics accused under any New York compensation plans, as well as the names of any priests, religious, employees, or volunteers accused of abuse or subject of secret sex abuse settlements.
- Urge survivors to come forward NOW before the New York CVA window closes on August 13, 2021.
