Diocese of San Bernardino Clergy Sexual Abuse Report to be Released—Press Conference Today

Over 80 Catholic Clergy Accused of Sexual Misconduct

(Ontario, CA) – At a press conference Thursday in Ontario, California, survivors, advocates, and the law firm of Jeff Anderson & Associates will:

  • Release a 70+ page report on clergy sexual abuse in the Diocese of San Bernardino (including the counties of San Bernardino and Riverside) containing background information, photographs and assignment histories on over 80 clergy accused of sexual misconduct;
  • Challenge Bishop Gerald Richard Barnes to release the names of all clergy accused of sexual misconduct that have previously worked or are currently working in the Diocese of San Bernardino;
  • Demand Bishop Gerald Richard Barnes release the names of all clergy accused of sexual misconduct and the identities of all Church officials, past and present, in the Diocese of San Bernardino, who were complicit in concealing the known histories and identities from the public, parishioners and law enforcement; and
  • Discuss the lawsuit filed by Tom Emens against all California Catholic Bishops for conspiracy to conceal a public hazard.
