Los Angeles man sues prominent Catholic school administrator John Malburg, his family and LA Archdiocese

Former student claims Daniel Murphy Catholic High School and Archdiocese’s negligence allowed him to be sexually abused in 2006

New lawsuit also alleges Malburg fraudulently transferred assets to avoid civil claims

(Los Angeles, CA)
A former student of prominent Los Angeles teacher and administrator John Malburg has filed a lawsuit alleging he was sexually abused by Malburg in 2006 and that the school and it’s superiors in the Los Angeles Archdiocese were negligent and could have prevented the sexual abuse.

The plaintiff, identified in the complaint as John Doe TD, and now an adult, states that as a student at Daniel Murphy Catholic High School in 2006 he was coerced into appearing in a series of pornographic videos being produced by Malburg.  At the time, Malburg was a teacher, Vice Principal and Dean of Students at the school.

In addition to the charges of sexual battery against Malburg and negligence on the part of the school and the Archdiocese, the complaint alleges that Malburg’s parents, Dominica and Leonis Malburg, were involved in a fraudulent scheme to transfer property assets in order for their son to avoid civil judgment claims.

In November of 2006, John Malburg was criminally charged with 12 counts of molestation and producing and possessing child pornography of four victims, including John Doe TD.  Currently Malburg is serving a prison sentence as result of being convicted of the crimes.
