Dec 31, 2019: Statement of Attorney Jeff Anderson on Resignation of TU Dance Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director Uri Sands

(Saint Paul, MN) – We praise the courage of Doe 597, a survivor and talented artist, who is the victim of sexual assault and harassment by Uri Sands, one of the founders and artistic directors of TU Dance Company. Doe 597 stood up and brought a lawsuit, demanding that TU Dance take action to protect the safety of other artists. Doe 597’s suit led to TU Dance conducting an investigation and Sands’ removal. We praise Doe 597 and are grateful to her and every survivor who dares to make our community safer by coming forward to share their truth.

Dec 31, 2019: First Lawsuits Filed Against Diocese of Oakland Under Child Victims Act for Abuse by Convicted Predator Fr. Kiesle

(Oakland, California) – Tuesday in Oakland, courageous survivors, attorneys from Jeff Anderson & Associates, and attorneys Joe George Jr. and Rick Simons will: Reveal and discuss two child sexual abuse lawsuits filed against the Diocese of Oakland under California’s new Child Victims Act (AB 218). One of the Plaintiffs was sexually abused by notorious and twice-convicted serial pedophile priest Fr. Stephen Kiesle (The “Pied Piper”).

Gary Timmons, former diocesan youth ministries director and founder of the Camp St. Michael in Legget, California.

Dec 30, 2019: First Lawsuit Filed Against Diocese of San Bernardino Under New Child Victims Act

(Riverside, California) – Monday in Riverside, a courageous survivor and attorneys from Jeff Anderson & Associates will: Reveal and discuss the first lawsuit under the California Child Victims Act (AB 218) against the Diocese of San Bernardino and the Congregation of the Holy Spirit religious order for child sexual assault committed by Fr. Louis G. Perreault, C.S.Sp. during his assignment at Our Lady of the Valley in Hemet, California.

Dec 27, 2019: Mater Dei High School Named in Multiple Child Sexual Assault Lawsuits as Den of Child Abusers

(Orange, California) – Friday in Orange, courageous survivors of child sexual abuse at Mater Dei High School and attorneys from Jeff Anderson & Associates will: Reveal and discuss two lawsuits brought against Mater Dei, a prestigious private school in Santa Ana that was home to multiple child sexual assault offenders throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and the Diocese of Orange for the actions of known perpetrator Monsignor Michael Harris and its role in the institutional cover-up of child sexual assault. The lawsuits are being brought under the new California Child Victims Act (AB 218).

Dec 26, 2019: Jeff Anderson & Associates Launches Major Child Protection Initiative Under New California Child Victims Act Law

(California) – Jeff Anderson & Associates, a national law firm that represents survivors of child sexual abuse, is launching a major child protection initiative in California. At nine press conferences Friday, December 27, through Thursday, January 2, throughout California, attorneys from the firm, along with advocates and child sexual abuse survivors, will announce the filing of 12 clergy sexual abuse lawsuits in eight California dioceses under California’s historic new Child Victims Act (CVA).
