Eleanor Roosevelt High School is located in Eastvale, California and opened in 2006. It is one of eight high schools in the Corona-Norco Unified School District and currently the only one located in Eastvale.
Eleanor Roosevelt High School has been at the center of serious allegations. In April 2023, investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Special Victims Unit responded to allegations of inappropriate contact between a teacher and students at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. The teacher, Chad Costello, was placed on administrative leave during the investigation. After the investigation by Riverside law enforcement, it was determined that Costello had engaged in inappropriate contact with students.
Amanda Quinonez, a teacher and water polo coach at the school, is accused of allegedly engaging in sex acts with a boy in one of her classes. Quinonez must stand trial for lewd acts on a minor and other offenses.
