Fr. Robert Post was a member of the Congregation of Christian Brothers. He took his perpetual vows as a Christian Brother in 1965 and was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 1982. Multiple survivors have come forward alleging sexual abuse by Fr. Post. In 2012, three complaints were filed as part of the Irish Christian Brothers’ Bankruptcy proceedings in New York alleging sexual abuse by Fr. Post. At least one of the claims alleged sexual abuse by Fr. Post in approximately 1970 at Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady, New York. As of 2018, Fr. Post was believed to be residing in Stamford, Connecticut.
