Prior to becoming a priest, Fr. Dennis A. Pecore was a Salvatorian brother. He reportedly worked as a Salvatorian brother from 1975 to 1976 at Holy Trinity in Glen Burie, Maryland. There has been at least one allegation of sexual abuse involving Fr. Pecore when in Maryland. In 1987, Fr. Pecore was charged with sexually abusing a child at Mother of Good Council in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in approximately 1985. Fr. Pecore was sentenced to one year in the Milwaukee County House of Correction with work release privileges and was placed on five years’ probation. In 1993, Fr. Pecore was accused of sexually abusing his nephew, a minor boy, from approximately 1989 to 1992. Upon his conviction, he was sentenced to twelve years in prison and ten years’ probation. In 2018, a lawsuit was filed alleging that Fr. Pecore sexually abused a minor at St. Mary’s in Phoenix, Arizona. Fr. Pecore was laicized in 1995. Fr. Pecore was included on the Diocese of Phoenix’s “Names of priests of religious communities who have served in the Diocese of Phoenix and have been laicized and/or removed from ministry by their communities due to sexual misconduct with a minor.” Fr. Pecore is currently believed to be living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His status as a priest and whether he has access to children are unknown.
