Notes: Br. Clement Murphy was a member of the Congregation of Christian Brothers (Irish Christian Brothers). At least one survivor has alleged child sexual abuse by Br. Murphy in the late 1970s at Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons in Schenectady, New York in the Diocese of Albany. Br. Murphy is included in the Christian Brothers’ list of “current, former and deceased brothers who were identified in at least two (2) sexual abuse claims filed as proofs of claim in the bankruptcy matter In re: The Christian Brothers’ Institute, et al.”
