In a 2003 lawsuit, Fr. Louis E. Douglas was accused of making improper sexual advances on a male teen in the late
1970s while working in the Diocese of Albany. Later that year, the Diocese of Albany admitted it had received at least one
previous complaint in 1992 involving an incident between a minor and Fr. Douglas that occurred 1960s. In 2011, another
survivor came forward and alleged that Fr. Douglas of child sexual abuse from 1986 to 1991. It is believed that Fr. Douglas
was sent to Servants of the Paraclete, an institution known for treating priests accused of child sexual abuse, for treatment
at some point
