In 2018, Fr. Duane Leclercq was removed from public ministry after he was accused of sexually abusing a minor 30 years earlier. The Diocese of Peoria deemed the allegation credible. Fr. Leclercq is included in the Diocese of Peoria’s list of “Priests Removed from Ministry Due to Allegations of Abuse of a Minor.” Fr.
