Fr. John B. Mea worked in the Diocese of Albany for four decades. Fr. Mea was accused in a 2003 civil lawsuit of sexually abusing and threatening an altar boy in a church rectory for a period of more than three years in the early 1960s. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed due to the statute of limitations.
