According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, at least one survivor has come forward alleging child sexual abuse by Fr. Vicente M. Guzman from approximately 1931 to 1941, while Fr. Guzman was working at Our Lady of Guadalupe Sanctuary in Los Angeles. Fr. Guzman was named in a 2003 civil lawsuit. Fr. Guzman was an extern priest visiting from Mexico who worked briefly in the Archdiocese. Fr. Guzman was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.
