Fr. Michael French was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Brooklyn. In 2003, the Diocese of San Diego was informed that Fr. French had allegedly sexually abused a minor boy in approximately 1980 after meeting him at his parents’ home in San Diego, California. The Diocese of San Diego reportedly settled with the survivor. Fr. French was included on the Diocese of San Diego’s 2018 list of “Credible Allegations – Priests of the Diocese of San Diego/ San Bernardino.”
