Fr. Timothy Evans was included in the Colorado Attorney General’s Special Master’s Report on “Roman Catholic Clergy Sexual Abuse of Children in Colorado from 1950 to 2019.” The Special Master’s Report disclosed that Fr. Evans sexually abused three children. In 2003, a survivor reported to the Archdiocese of Denver that he was sexually abused as a 16-year-old boy by Fr. Evans in 1995 or 1996 when Fr. Evans was assigned to Spirit of Christ Parish in Arvada, Colorado. The Archdiocese of Denver was reportedly made aware of sexual abuse by Fr. Evans, but failed to make a report to police or perform any internal investigation. In 2003, another survivor reported to the Archdiocese of Denver that Fr. Evans sexually abused him in 1996, when he was a minor and Fr. Evans was assigned to Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Lakewood, Colorado. In 2004, a third survivor reported to the Archdiocese of Denver that he was sexually abused as a minor by Fr. Evans when he was assigned to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Fort Collins, Colorado. In 2007, Fr. Evans was convicted of three counts of sexual assault of a child in Larimar and Jefferson counties. Fr. Evans is currently incarcerated in Colorado. According to the Special Master’s Report, Fr. Evans was laicized in 2013.
