Fr. Philip Kraus was a member of the Society of Jesus. Fr. Kraus was named on the Jesuits’ U.S. Central and Southern Province’s 2018 “List of Jesuits with Credible Accusations of Sexual Abuse of a Minor” in the subsection “Jesuits of the U.S. Central and Sourthern Province (and its predecessor entities) with Credible Allegations of Abuse of a Minor- A Single Allegation.” Fr. Kraus was reportedly accused of sexually abusing a minor in the 1970s. He was restricted from ministry with minors in 1996 and was permanently removed from all ministry in 2003. Fr. Kraus’ current whereabouts, status as a priest, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
