Fr. Francis X. Nawn was a member of the Society of Jesus. By August 2005, nine men and women had come forward with allegations that Fr. Nawn had sexually abused them when they were children. Three more people accused Fr. Nawn of child sexual abuse in a 2009 civil lawsuit. The Diocese of Fairbanks, Alaska, released a document through their bankruptcy proceedings in 2010, which shows at least two people made a claim that Fr. Nawn sexually abused them. Fr. Nawn was included in USA Midwest Province Jesuits’ 2018 list of “USA Midwest Province Jesuits with Established Allegation(s) of Sexual Abuse of a Minor.”
