Fr. Bernard Casper was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Pueblo. In 1963, Fr. Casper purportedly took a medical leave and underwent treatment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Afterwards, Fr. Casper reportedly did not return to the Diocese of Pueblo. In 2002, the Diocese of Albany received a report alleging Fr. Casper sexually abused two minor boys in the early 1970s. After the allegation was reported, it was reportedly discovered that Fr. Casper had been working in the Dioceses of Albany and Rochester for 30 years without authorization. Fr. Casper’s current status as a priest, his whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
