Msgr. English was born in Ireland and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Los Angeles in 1927. According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, he stands accused of sexually abusing one child between 1969 and 1970. Msgr. English was named in a 2003 lawsuit, which alleged that he sexually abused a child in 1969. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles determined the allegations were unfounded. Msgr. English was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.
