Reginald Krakovsky (Krakowski)
Father Reginald Krakovsky, born February 29, 1924, entered the Third Order Regular of St. Francis, Province of the Immaculate Conception in 1945. He was ordained a priest on July 9, 1952 and served the Diocese of Baker (Oregon), the Diocese of New Ulm, the Diocese of St. Cloud, and the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis as well as several assignments overseas.
In 1994, a man filed a lawsuit alleging he was sexually abused by Father Krakovsky between 1961 and 1964 at Holy Family in Little Falls, Minnesota. The Archdiocese, named as a defendant in that lawsuit, filed a motion to be dismissed from the lawsuit stating that Krakovsky was not under the control of the archdiocese at that time.
The Diocese of St. Cloud included Father Krakovsky on its list of priests who “were likely involved in the sexual abuse of minors” released January 3, 2014. The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis added Father Krakovsky to their list of priests with claims of substantiated abuse against them on October 23, 2014. Jeff Anderson & Associates released the priest file maintained by the Archdiocese of Father Krakovsky on November 5, 2014.
