 Br. Joseph Stadtfeld was a member of the Congregation of the Passion religious order. He has been accused of sexually abusing at least two children. Two sisters have accused him of sexually abusing them when they were minors from approximately 1958 to 1966. At least two civil lawsuits have accused Br. Stadtfeld of sexually abusing a minor. Cases against Br. Stadtfeld was settled in 2007. The alleged abuse occurred at a Passionist Monastery and Retreat House in the Sierra Madre. Br. Stadtfeld is believed to have died in 2001. He was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of clergy accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.
