Joseph Gallatin: Accused of Sexual Misconduct

Joseph Gallatin

Father Joseph Gallatin was placed on leave from active ministry by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis on or about December 29, 2013, for having inappropriate conduct with a minor. Father Gallatin, 43 at the time he was placed on leave, was alleged by Archdiocesan investigators that reviewed his clergy file to have committed an incident of inappropriate conduct with a minor that involved a “boundary violation.”

According to the Archdiocese, Father Gallatin will remain an active pastor during the leave of absence but won’t perform public ministry until the investigators’ review is completed.

Father Gallatin has been serving as a pastor at the Church of St. Peter in Mendota, Minnesota, since July 2008.
