Fr. Joseph Dondero worked in the Archdiocese of San Francisco and the Diocese of San Jose. According to the Diocese of San Jose, Fr. Dondero engaged in sexual misconduct with a child at St. Joseph Parish in the 1960s. In 2002, the Diocese of San Jose received a report that Fr. Dondero sexually abused a child. The Diocese of San Jose included Fr. Dondero in its list of clergy with credible allegations of sexual abuse of children.
