James Tamburrino
In March 2000, Fr. James Tamburrino was named in a lawsuit brought by a survivor of sexual abuse. The survivor alleged that Fr. Tamburrino sexually abused him from approximately 1996 to 1998 while he was working as a secretary at St. Simon Stock in the Bronx, New York.
In 2005, Fr. Tamburrino was arrested in Rome, New York, for taking erotic photos of a fifteen-year-old boy at a hotel, and attempting to do the same to another teenage boy. Fr. Tamburrino was convicted in March 2006 and sentenced to five to fifteen years in a state prison. As of September 2017, Fr. Tamburrino was listed on New York’s sex offender registry and serving time at Gowanda Correctional Facility in Gowanda, New York.
Fr. James Tamburrino was ordained for the Order of the Brothers of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel (Carmelites) in 1998 and worked at the following locations:

- 1999-2001: Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center, Middletown, NY
- 1999-2002: Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Middletown, NY
