James I. J. Frost: Diocesan Clergy Accused of Sexual Misconduct With a Minor

In October 2003, Fr. James I. J. Frost was named in a class action lawsuit brought by survivors of child sexual abuse. The lawsuit alleged that Fr. Frost sexually abused a boy from approximately 1977 to approximately 1984. The abuse allegedly began while Fr. Frost worked at Holy Innocents Church in Flatbush, New York, and continued through Fr. Frost’s next two parish reassignments.

Fr. James I. J. Frost was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Brooklyn in 1976. Fr. Frost worked at Holy Innocents Church in Flatbush, New York; St. Mark’s Parish in Sheepshead Bay, New York; and St. Sebastian’s in Woodside, New York. Fr. Frost was in residence at Corpus Christi in Queens, New York, in 2002. He retired in 2003.
