Notes: According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, at least five survivors have come forward alleging child sexual abuse against Br. Gregory Atherton, O.S.M., a member of the Servite Order, between approximately 1967 and 1986. Br. Atherton was sent to Servants of the Paraclete in New Mexico, an institution known for treating priests accused of child sexual abuse. Br. Atherton has been named in several civil lawsuits. In 2002, Br. Atherton was still part of the Servite Order and worked at the National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother in Portland, Oregon. Br. Atherton was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. In 2015, it is believed Br. Atherton was living in Portland, OR. Br. Atherton’s current status as a brother, his whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
