Fr. Gillmero Nemoria Villa Gomez was ordained in 1957 for the Diocese of Culiacan in Mexico. He began work in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in 1962 and was incardinated into the Archdiocese in 1975. According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles at least one survivor has come forward alleging child sexual abuse by Fr. Villa Gomez, from approximately 1964 to 1965, while he worked at Resurrection in Los Angeles. In 1990, Fr. Villa Gomez retired and moved back to Mexico. He has been named in at least one civil lawsuit. Fr. Villa Gomez was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. Fr. Villa Gomez’s current status as a priest, his whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
