In 1971, Fr. James Richard Robinson was ordained in England. Multiple survivors have accused Fr. Robinson of child sexual abuse from 1959 to 1983 at various churches and parishes in the United Kingdom. In 1985, he moved to California where he worked as a priest in five Los Angeles parishes until he was defrocked in 1993. In 2009, Fr. Robinson was extradited from the

United States to England to stand trial for 22 different offenses. In 2010, the Birmingham Crown Court sentenced him to 21 years in prison. It is believed Fr. Robinson is currently incarcerated in England. From the time of his laicization in 1993 to his extradition in 2009, Fr. Robinson’s whereabouts are unknown.
