Msgr. Gallagher was ordained for the Diocese of Los Angeles and San Diego in 1928. Msgr. Gallagher has been accused of child sexual abuse by at least two people. Msgr. Gallagher has been named in at least one civil lawsuit. A 2003 lawsuit alleged that Msgr. Gallagher sexually abused a girl over a period of time from approximately 1953 to 1962. Msgr. Gallagher was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.
