A lawsuit was filed in Fresno County in 2003 accusing Fr. Campbell of child sexual abuse occurring in the late 1950s. Fr. Campbell was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ Report to the People of God Listof Priests Accused of Sexual Misconduct with Minors 2018 Update. According tothis report, Fr. Campbell has been twice accused of sexual abuse. One incident was alleged to have occurred between 1956 and 1959 and the other between 1978 and 1980. The report also states the diocese was made aware of the allegations in 2010. From 1983 until his death in 1986, Fr. Campbell is believed to have resided in Fullerton, California. Fr. Campbell’s access to children from 1983 to 1986 is unknown
