Fr. Albert Joseph Duggan was accused of child sex abuse in a 2001 report to Los Angeles police. The abuse allegedly took place in 1969 at St. Frances in Azusa, California. Fr. Duggan was also accused in a 2003 civil lawsuit of sexually abusing a boy in approximately 1963 to 1967 at St. Frances in Azusa. According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Fr. Duggan stands accused of sexually abusing three children from 1963 to 1971. Fr. Duggan was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.
