Bartz of child sexual abuse that was alleged to have occurred when he worked at Ascension in 1976. In 2002, Fr. Bartz resigned from ministry. He was laicized in 2015. Fr. Bartz is included in the Archdiocese of Chicago’s list of “Archdiocesan Priests with Substantiated Allegations of Sexual Misconduct with Minors.” Fr.
