One of the eastern seaboard’s most notorious predator priests, Father Romano Ferraro, is up for parole on a life sentence. For decades Ferraro was moved from parish to parish under the protection of Roman Catholic hierarchs, all the while sexually abusing countless children in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Missouri. This man is as dangerous today as he was back when he first admitted his sexual desires for young boys as a seminarian in 1955.
His parole hearing is Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Parole Board's Central Office at 12 Mercer Road, Natick, MA 01760.
Survivors, families, friends, advocates: we need you to come forward and share your thoughts and stories. You can show the court that there is no reprieve from the life-shattering consequences of the crimes committed by Ferraro. That time does not lessen the horror nor the damage he caused. That many of those he abused continue to suffer in prisons of shame and pain from which there is no parole or escape. That this man is an immediate threat to the safety of any child he encounters.
To make your voice heard and help keep Ferraro behind bars – away from children – contact Michelle Beatty of the Victim Services Unit and Massachusetts Parole Board by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 617-376-6268.
You have the power to remind the court that Father Romano Ferraro deserves the full measure of justice he was handed – an unbroken sentence of life in prison.
