Paulantonio was named on the Archdiocese of Atlanta’s 2018 “List of Archdiocesan Priests with Credible Allegations of Child Abuse in the Archdiocese of Atlanta,” in the subsection “Religious Order/Other Diocesan Priests with Credible Allegations of Child Abuse in the Archdiocese of Atlanta.” It is purported that the alleged sexual abuse occurred while Fr. Paulantonio was working at St. Jude in Atlanta, Georgia, in the 1970s. Fr. Paulantonio’s status as a priest, whereabouts, and whether he had access to children from 1979 until his death in 1997 are unknown.
