Fr. Louis Ladenburger received a Doctor of Divinity from UC Berkeley and worked in the Diocese of Oakland according to various public news reports. In 2007, he was arrested for sexual battery of a teenage boy at a school for troubled boys where he was a counselor. The Franciscan order revealed he had two prior allegations of “inappropriate relationships” and had been sent to treatment after both allegations arose. He was laicized in 1996 and in May 2018, another allegations of abuse arose while he worked in the Stockton diocese in the early 1970s. As of 2012, it is believed Fr. Ladenburger was residing in Bakersfield, CA.
