Fr. Gerard T. McMahon was a military chaplain from the Archdiocese of Boston who worked in the Diocese of Oakland in the mid-1970s. In May 2006, McMahon pleaded guilty to rape and indecent assault on a girl in Foxboro, MA in 1967-1970. He was sentenced to a lifetime of probation, which was to be served in Florida.
