Edward J. Huckemeyer
In 1994, Deacon Edward J. Huckemeyer of the Diocese of Brooklyn admitted to sexually abusing a student in approximately 1979. The student attended JHS 226 Virgil I. Grissom in Ozone Park, New York, where Deacon Huckemeyer worked as a creative writing teacher.
Deacon Edward J. Huckemeyer worked at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church in Long Island City, New York, from approximately 1982 to approximately 1986. From approximately 1988 to 1989 Deacon Huckemeyer was on personal leave. Deacon Huckemeyer was also the principal at P.S. 71 Forest Elementary School in Ridgewood, New York. After Deacon Huckemeyer admitted to child sexual abuse he was reassigned to an administrative job at the Board of Education’s office until the case was resolved. Fr. Huckemeyer is believed to be residing in Tamarac, Florida.
