Ron Melancon
Brother Ron Melancon was born March 15, 1944. He was a brother of the Crosier Fathers and Brothers. The date of his first profession was December 28, 1972. Brother Melancon worked at the Crosier Seminary in Onamia, Minn., from 1972-75 and 1978-80, and at the Crosier Community of Fort Wayne, Ind., from 1975-78.
On March 6, 2014, the Crosier Fathers and Brothers included Brother Melancon on its official list of Crosier priests and brothers who have been credibly accused of child sexual abuse.
According to the Crosier Fathers and Brothers, Brother Melancon served in the following parishes and assignments:
· 1972-75 Crosier Seminary, Onamia, Minn.
· 1975-78 Crosier Community of Fort Wayne, Ind.
· 1978-80 Crosier Seminary, Onamia, Minn.
According to the Crosier Fathers and Brothers, Brother Melancon left the Order in 1980 and was dispensed from vows on September 21, 1989. Brother Melancon was believed to be residing in Louisiana, according to the Crosier Fathers and Brothers.
